Durham, Cleveland, Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, Cumbria
Our area covers Cumbria and Northumbria and includes the famous Lake District in the west (best avoided in holiday periods), Roman Britain, including Hadrian’s Wall, castles and spectacular coastlines. It is also wonderful cycling country, with many Sustrans routes. The ‘Angel of the North’ sculpture is in our area, as is the Sage Gateshead music venue.
